In this session, we played a team building acitivity called “Tower Game”, where we exercised time managment, creativity and collaboration skills.
The participants were divided into 5 teams and were offered different materials. Each team received the same materials (string, paper, glue, wooden skewers, pencils). They had a certain amount of time to build a tower, using only those given materials. At the end of the activity, the participants voted: the tallest tower, the most solid, the most beautiful, the most creative, the Erasmus+ tower.
And then we voted based in different criteria and understood that we all see things from a different prespective, even if we are talking about objective facts.
At the end, there was a discussion and debate session regarding the methods used, the group approach strategy, the group dynamics, the way of voting, how they voted.
Clock:
Each participant drew a clock on a piece of paper. For each hour on the clock, he looked for a partner that he wrote on his sheet (eg at 3:00 p.m. Mert and Silvana had each other on their watches). After they determined their partners for each hour, the facilitator gave the following instructions:
It's 9:00! Meet with the person on the sheet at 9:00 a.m. and discuss: Previous experiences you had with Erasmus+ projects
It's 6:00! Meet with the person on the sheet at 6:00 and discuss: What is the funniest thing about you? what will make you funny
It's 12:00! Meet the person on the sheet at 12:00 and discuss: Which country would I like to visit
It's 3:00 PM! Meet with the person on the sheet at 3:00 p.m. and discuss: What is your greatest achievement?
